Social Media Manager and Marketing Copywriter

The Social Media Manager role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social media and marketing copywriter, marketer and strategist, an individual who is highly entrepreneurial looking for a dynamic environment, someone ready to make an impact working with a great team of professionals. In this position, you will collaborate cross functionally to amplify content for clients and for Pioneering Collective. This person will work closely with our strategists to engage, mobilize and grow the social media platforms for our client members. They will also manage and oversee Pioneering Collective’s social media presence across platforms, including collaborating with other teams to create graphics/videos and amplify Pioneering Collective activities such as events. We are looking for a motivated and mission-oriented person with excellent writing skills, graphic design skills, social media and online engagement expertise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, conceptualize, design, social media strategy and content, and execute digital campaigns to boost engagement and growth for members’ platforms. Continuously monitor and modify strategies based on audience insights.

  • Develop and manage strategy for Pioneering Collective’s social media presence. Conceptualize and write captions to boost engagement, modify strategy based on audience insights. 

  • Create and maintain a social media editorial calendar for each client member and for Pioneering Collective.

  • Collaborate across teams to provide strategy and develop marketing materials/copy for different projects 

  • Create simple visual and animated assets for sharing, and collaborate with a team of producers, coaches, web developers, and graphic designers for more complex assets and content.

  • Measure and report on the success of all social media campaigns.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional social media experience, with a proven track record in building and expanding social audiences.

  • Professional experience with LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • Excellent writing skills, and an ability to write for a range of editorial voices.

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

  • Basic design skills using Photoshop or Canva, and simple video subtitling tools such as Headliner.

  • Professional experience with relevant social media monitoring tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask on deadline.

  • Confidence in executing tasks independently and ability to work with remote team members.

  • Experience managing social media platforms for corporate executives preferred.

Annual Compensation: $60,000-$75,000

Location: This is a remote work position, although candidates will be required to travel now and then to meet with clients and internal team members. Candidates located in the New Jersey or Greater New York Metropolitan area preferred.
